The team you will be a part of
The Government Relations team analyzes and evaluates the impact of government policy and regulation on the organization's activities and objectives. Develops and maintains policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues that affect the organization. Ensures that the organization's interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include
Participation in National, European, and International committees for Cooking Electric Appliances, Electronics, and EMC
Represent Whirlpool in the Italian Committee and the AppliA IT Association
Support Platform In activities related to standardization and compliance
Collaborate with Platforms/marketing/legal/Government Affairs to execute Whirlpool strategy in association and/or IEC/CENELEC meetings
Support regional advocacy strategy, development, and execution across categories
External stakeholder relationship with a focus on Italy and EU for categories assigned
Build an understanding of product functionalities and approval testing methodologies for electronic and EMC Certification
Assure Compliance with Global Regulatory Policy
Keep DNG updated for Regulatory requirements linked to the product categories assigned
Support for EMEA Compliance Council
Support the Conformity Assessment for the EMEA region
Minimum requirements
Ability to influence and drive consensus across regions to converge on solutions that leverage global scale while still delivering on regional needs
Technical Skills in the Standardization area
Exceptional strategic thinker
Electrical Engineering degree
Fluent English
The ability for Domestic and International travels
Preferred skills and experiences
Transparency
Flexibility to cover new tasks and challenges
Ability to collaborate with all parties
