Job Description
Manages the program in collaboration with program director. Ensures materials and projects are implemented within appropriate time frames.
Job Responsibility
Coordinates the attainment of Nursing Magnet designation and subsequent recertification; aligns strategic plan with Forces of Magnetism.
Leads multidisciplinary teams to incorporate Forces of Magnetism when executing plan.
Manages systems for tracking and evaluating Magnet Recognition Program Standards of Care.
Performs analysis to establish a baseline measurement Site position in relation to Magnet principles and standards; identifies gaps in preventing the Site from attaining Magnet status.
Formulates plans to eliminate gaps and deficiencies; identifies opportunities for improvement in meeting full compliance with the regulatory agencies.
Reviews timelines for each step of the Magnet designation and re-designation process; ensures deadlines are achieved.
Coordinates teams to work on the magnet preparation process; encourages staff nurse participation.
Prepares and organizes documentation required for a successful site visit and coordinates all communication; ensures data collection and analysis related to Magnet designation.
Collaborates with clinical and non clinical department heads to cultivate consistent and effective communication; ensures fluency and clarity of all developed content and consistency in presentation of written materials and other standardized content.

Job Qualification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master Degree preferred
Project Management experience for a least one year preferred
Knowledge of the Magnet Program- required
Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $105,000-$170,000/year
