Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Life Insurance Regional VP will provide external wholesaling support to a large, national financial institution. The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving aggressive premium growth goals in their assigned territory. In addition, the Regional VP will manage all aspects of the relationship including sales, marketing, pending case advocacy, etc. The position normally requires a minimum of 50% overnight travel and requires substantial voice-to-voice and web-based distributor contact.
At a minimum, the ideal candidate will possess:
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
•Superior sales and relationship building skills.
•3-5 years internal or external life insurance wholesaling experience at the carrier level, preferably in a financial institution. Successful point of sale experience is highly desirable.
•Extensive understanding of life insurance products, related sales concepts, and case design.
•Sound technical literacy to include basic understanding of illustration software, Excel, and Power Point. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics would be a plus.
•Extensive experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex and GoToMeeting preferred.
•FINRA Series 6 or 7, Series 63 and state life and health licenses are required.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, organized team player who can demonstrate a proven history of developing and successfully executing territory sales plans and achieving sales goals.
