THE POSITION
Please join us and contribute to our goals with your new role as Regional Spokesperson in the Americas region. Your new place to work is in Fairlawn / Ohio, with the possibility of hybrid work.
As a Regional Spokesperson, you are the central point of contact in your corresponding region for any Media & PR communication activity of the ContiTech Business Areas (BA). You identify, develop, and implement BA-relevant communication measures towards media, politics, and the public in accordance with ContiTech's communication strategy. Are the Spokesperson and point of contact for media enquiries in your respective region across all Bas.
Create the regional/BA Media & PR strategy in accordance with ContiTech's communication strategy.
Plan, prepare and implement BA-specific regional PR activities in accordance with the ContiTech communication strategy and in cooperation with BA internal communications and Head of Marketing & Strategy, with focus on media, politics, and other public stakeholders.
Create editorial content for regional Media & PR activities, e.g., for events, press conferences, press releases, articles, and other publications, as well as photo and video formats.
Establish and expand sustainable and trusting contacts with local and regional media.
Align and coordinate communication content between BAs and ContiTech Communications team.
Monitor the success of regional Media & PR activities through the implementation of suitable KPIs.
Manage issue and crisis management for Media & PR on regional level.
Consult, support and train regional internal stakeholders in standard and crisis communication topics.
Brief, manage and coordinate PR agencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a focus on media or communication sciences, journalism, or comparable qualifications
3 years of experience as a press spokesperson or comparable position
Fluent English skills, spoken and written, additional language skills advantageous.
Strong understanding of internal and external stakeholder needs, with the ability to translate them into concrete external communication actions.
High resilience even in uncertain and spontaneous situations
Extensive editorial knowledge, as well as strong presentation skills
Independent way of working pronounced stakeholder orientation and strong quality awareness.
Experience in working in international complex matrix structures.
Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and assertiveness.
Experienced in social media.
