  Leads GE Gas Power Americas Indirect Sourcing team to develop skills and relationships (both internal and external) to achieve best-in-class Indirect Sourcing results. Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

  Role Summary/Purpose

  Regional Indirect Sourcing Leader - GE Gas Power Americas will be responsible for managing and executing Regional Indirect buy and be the primary Point of Contact (POC) for GE Gas Power Indirect Sourcing activities in the region. The role will lead a Business Sourcing team (direct reports) that supports the Americas regional as well.

  Essential Responsibilities

Manages a medium size team with the need to align and connect operationally across all areas of the company. Develops expertise within function, business unit and the energy industry. Grows reputation within the organization. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.Leads and coaches others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.Leads cross-functional teams or projects with resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity on team initiatives. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional areas. Communicates complex messages and negotiates internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and negotiates with external partners, vendors, or customers.Defines, establishes and improves sourcing strategies at business or plant level.Has major influence on the business unit, a business unit within GE Vernova and has ownership/influence over budgets. The role is guided by functional policy. The role influences policy/operating guidelines about important subjects.Collaborates with Global Commodity Leaders to develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives.Partners with the regional business leaders to ensure fulfillment, quality, and regulatory requirements are achieved.Develops the strategy to execute cost reduction projects based on strategic imperatives of the business. Partners with business stakeholders and commodity colleagues to influence contract negotiations, drive process changes, and implement sustainable cost controls.Create and/or enforce business policies to meet business targets and customer needs, including improving procurement processes and optimizing Sourcing resources to enhance the customer experience with Sourcing.Collaborate with Finance leadership to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations to the general ledger.Manage Regional Operating Plan (Savings, Cash, etc.)Determine through collaboration with business leaders and commodity leaders what the indirect sourcing projects of focus should be across region to drive deflation, usage, cash, and PSL (preferred supplier lists).Determine the appropriate savings projects and drive throughout the organization.Lead VCP (variable cost productivity) for indirect material and services across all commodities as well as monitors and drives cost-out initiatives aligning to commodity strategyProactively monitors risks, own escalations, mitigation and initiatives necessary for corrective actionsLeads the evaluation process for business related commodity and suppliers for business or regionMonitor supplier performance and communicate issues back to commodity team for resolution.Prepare, present, and influence senior leaders on current and future sourcing imperatives

  Qualifications/Requirements

  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 6 years of experience in Supply Chain or Sourcing role

  Desired Characteristics

  Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is preferredSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferredStrong PC and database management skillsStrong oral and written communications skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsProven project management and process improvement abilityChange agent with the ability to influence at all levelsGE Program graduate is preferred

  Eligibility Requirements

  Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to ~15% of the time, as requiredLegal authorization to work in USA is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

  Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  The salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $220,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.

  This position is also eligible for 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

  *The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.

  This posting is expected to close on Jan 3, 2024 or when suitable candidate identified.
