General Summary
The Regional Enrollment Consultant (REC) will have primary responsibility in three main areas: 1) Engagement with field partners to offer our consultative support on various enrollment strategies/methods to maximize sales results in any case 2) Drive sales performance in Large Case enrollments to expected levels. The REC will be accountable for managing enroller expectations and delivery of these expectations for Large Case enrollments 3) Development of Benefits Counselor Quality Control through effective data analysis, coaching, training, and performance management.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Enrollment Strategy Consulting
Act as point of contact for sales/distribution partners to understand various enrollment methods including face-to-face, telephonic, virtual, self-enroll, and third-party system enrollments.Partner with client consultants and client managers to evaluate sales opportunities from an enrollment perspective and ensure smooth execution of fulfillment of cases.Lead training for sales leadership and local teams to ensure understanding of enrollment capabilities.Support piloting and implementation of enrollment technology supporting both enrollers and the enrollment processPartner with internal business partners to stay up to date on all enrollment tool capabilities and how they can make a difference in enrollments.
Enrollment Management and Support
Partner with client consultant and client managers to set realistic expectations of what benefits counselors (BC) can deliver during Large Case Client enrollments. Ensure all enrollment deliverables are provided to the benefits counselors that are needed for a successful enrollment.Staff and schedule regional enrollments to include staffing of benefits counselors as needed for each location, scheduling of enrollers at each location, and provide support when needed with the account/location contact to set expectations.Serve as primary liaison between local enrollment team and the implementation team.Ensure accurate and timely receipt of final deliverables required from the regional enrollment team.Set sales and customer service expectations for each enrollment with the assigned enrollment team.Monitor sales performance of managed enrollments and address issues where appropriate.Performance manages benefits counselors that fall below enrollment expectations.Serve as resource during the acquisition phase, re-enrollment planning, and debrief phase as needed.
Benefits Counselor Quality Control
Formulate a proactive recruiting strategy for each assigned territory for the purpose of growing National Enrollment Team (NET) to expected levels in partnership with territory core teams.Develop training content to be delivered to all benefits counselorsPerform ongoing assessments of each member of the NET for the purpose of evaluating their status as an active member.Lead NET and BC development efforts through best practice sharing, sales skill development, and additional advanced sales skills training.May perform other duties as assigned.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$63,500.00-$114,300.00
Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not.
