About Regional Education Manager, Clinique/Dr.Jart+/Origins/Lab Series, Travel Retail APAC

  PRIMARY FUNCTION

  Manage the implementation and delivery of the Brand Cluster Education Strategy in support of brands' direction and sales objectives within the TR APAC region. Working in partnership with New York Global (and Regional) Education teams in the development and adaptation of education programs and initiatives. Acquire knowledge of market trends, evolving consumer needs, field staff learning needs so as to adapt selling strategies in order to optimize brand and education outreach within the region. Planning and working with Education Managers, Education Executives and SEEs to implement education calendar for TR APAC Developing and mentoring the TR APAC Education Managers and SEEs with respect to technical and general capabilities skill-set. Special omnichannel event support where necessary and developing Education Managers, SEEs, and APC(Airport Coordinator)s to have skill set in this aspect.

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Managing the implementation and delivery of education strategy in support of brand direction and sales objectives within TR APAC

  Support Regional Director in the implementation of business strategies through effective education in TR. Translate business objectives into education needs by understanding the business priorities and its implication on the field selling approach. Lead the Education team to work with Marketing and Sales stakeholders to clearly identify education needs, map them against specific training tools and time frame to realize a roadmap towards the achievement of business goals. Set clear expectations with Education team and align education strategy with focus on market/region needs and specificities in order to achieve end results. To drive top doors business, roll out Productivity at the Door program by region consistently. To align corporate education strategy, work closely with TR APAC Regional Education Director. (ex,TR MAXX, TR U, TR APAC Virtual Selling program)

  2. Working in Partnership with NY Global and Regional Education in the development and adaptation of education programs and initiatives.

  Establish rapport with the global and regional teams and build authority as the frame of reference for the brand with respect to the Asian travelling consumer. Adapt global education strategy to fit the needs of travel retail - this would include adaptation at different levels for programs including (but not exhaustive): basic training, seasonal school, high touch service offerings/consultations, counter managers'/mentor program, Education seminars etc. Play a key role in coordinating with APAC affiliates/regional team on consolidated tasks such as translations, adaptation and delivery of education materials (incl. customization), launch of education programs etc. Work in collaboration with APAC Regional Education team to share synergies with respect to adaptation and implementation of programs where possible.

  3. Acquire knowledge of market trends, evolving consumer needs, field staff learning needs so as to adapt selling strategies in order to optimize brand and education outreach within the region.

  Plan and engage in systematic market visits within TR APAC to understand trends and establish a clear understanding of field needs within respective regions. With the knowledge, provide constructive feedback and work in close partnership with Global and Regional Education teams in developing education materials for the regions. Work with Education Managers to understand and utilize market intelligence in order to make adaptations to the training curriculum, where necessary. Open sharing of emerging/new market trends with sales and marketing teams. Monitor the quality of training (both classroom and at counter) as well as keep track of trainers' capacities and developmental needs.

  4. Planning and working with Education Managers to implement education calendar for TR APAC

  Ensure that there is an appropriate and consistent on-boarding program for all new Education staff and BAs. Work with the education team with respect to the APAC Education Calendar - which may be in sync with marketing calendar but not completely replicative. Management of overall training budget - and ensuring that the Education Managers have clarity on their regional budgets. Collaborate with local affiliates on material sharing, translation and workbook production where possible. Share best practices (within and outside the region). Set clear standards and benchmarks for TR sales and service standards. Work with the Education team to ensure consistency in delivery of training materials and key brand messaging.

  5. Developing and mentoring the TR APAC Education Managers with respect to technical and general capabilities skill-set

  Responsible for the recruitment and development of Education Managers/Education Executives for TR APAC Ensure that they are well equipped to deliver brand education - taking into consideration adaptation requirements for each region. Ensure that there is a systematic approach to track development and performance, both for Experts and Trainers. Conduct regular feedback sessions with trainers to monitor progress and set measurable goals, working with the team to attain them.

  6. Special omnichannel event support

  Work with Marketing and Sales team to provide on-site support for high profile consumer/retailer events. Work in team with Sales Team on pre-event/re-promote/launch training requirement and collateral in order to maximize event impact. Work with trainers to develop training modules to support events, in order to ensure that brand standards are adhered to, and a proper event protocol is put in place. To support TR APAC Clinique Social Selling project - on-site beauty class (for retailer's VVIP), retailer-led livestreaming- work closely with each department (MKT, Sales, Retailers). Develop content and coach team.

  Qualifications

  REQUIREMENTS

  Education - University degree preferred. Experience - 7 years of relevant experience in training - service or product education. Prior experience in the cosmetic retail or beauty industry would be preferred. Candidates from Travel Retail will have an added advantage Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin is a requirement.
