This is a remote position
Position is based in California and supports all CommonSpirit Laboratories within the state.
Job Summary / Purpose
Responsible for the overall quality and performance of laboratory services provided throughout the region. Responsible for the strategic planning, financial oversight, operational management and direction of all laboratory functions within the region in order to achieve and sustain operational excellence. Directs collaboration throughout the region and leverages support from national laboratory services to achieve and maintain standards of performance. Works collaboratively with hospital executive leadership and laboratory leaders to implement and maintain system standards. Responsible for holding laboratory leaders accountable to operational, financial, and service standards. Accountable for ensuring continuous regulatory compliance.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Engage with Laboratory teams/leadership and executive leadership on site at all California based facilities.
Direct management of Market and/or Hospital Lab Directors/Managers for more than twenty acute facilities and lab sites.
Maintains metric driven communication with region leadership to ensure transparency and that service line performance meets or exceeds expectations.
Responsible for planning, directing and evaluating the provision of a standardized delivery of clinical services, practices and policies within the region.
Provides strategic leadership in assessing, developing and implementing initiatives and activities which improve financial stewardship and operational performance..
Identifies quality and process improvements and manages projects to develop and implement solutions for superior quality and operational efficiencies.
Represents the region’s best interests as a voting member for any work groups, councils or committees.
Provides superior communication with all laboratories and executive teams throughout the region.
Participates in other CSH national laboratory efforts as required.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Master’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or equivalent education preferred.
Seven (7) years of laboratory management experience, including overseeing multiple laboratories.
Certificate in Medical Technology or equivalent
Job duties require considerable knowledge of the specialized principles and practices related to laboratory and healthcare management.
Analytical skills, financial acumen, and executive level presentation skills are necessary.
Pay Range
$79.07 - $114.66 /hour
