The Regional CTO will provide technical leadership and evangelism in all aspects of the EMEA business. This person will partner with our Product and Labs organizations to ensure our "Go to customer" teams can help position Rapid7 to meet the growing customer needs in the region. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role coupled with the ability to provide thought leadership across the business and to our customers. We expect you to be well-versed in current trends, comfortable with public speaking and being 'the face' of a brand. Rapid7 Labs is an organization focused on understanding the threat, tracking the adversary and single minded in the development of detection and response capabilities to protect Rapid7 customers. Beyond this, the organization manages the Rapid7 Labs Open source capabilities, which includes Metasploit, FACET, AttackerKB and many more.
About the Role
This is a critical role within the Rapid7 Labs organization which is at the forefront of tracking the threat landscape. From this position the successful candidate will be able to engage with our Go-to-customer teams to communicate the capabilities of Rapid7 solutions from a position of deep technical understanding. Also, to listen to the feedback of the market and ensure this is relayed back to our Product and Labs organizations.
In this role, you will:
Be the technical advocate for the EMEA business - provide technical evangelism, acting as a company spokesperson with external media and strategic thinking to our customers, partners and sales teamBe a thought leader in cyber security and cloud native security evidenced through presenting at regional conferences and other industry events.Interact with deep technical and security professionals internally and externally, fostering capability to competitively differentiate Rapid7 solutions.Present business outcomes based on Rapid7 solutions to C-level executivesPartner with Rapid7 executives, sales, marketing, and products teams on go-to-market strategy for the region.Be a key member in the Executive Engagement program

10+ years enterprise security solution and networking experience5+ years hands-on experience with public cloud security with in-depth knowledge of multiple Security SolutionsBachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years related work experience supporting and working closely with sales, customer success and partner organizations.Presenting effectively in front of large groups, both technically and non-technically oriented.A passionate public speaker, who presents with gravitas and awarenessAbility to understand business problems of C-level executives, discuss those problems, and present within a security contextSomeone who has an insatiable curiosity for cybersecurity and is 'never done' in learning about something newPossess product expertise on all Rapid7's product groups, with specialized expertise in the security solutions and Security Operations domain.Proven track record in driving results and impact within a changing environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills
