About the Role

About the role:
Lead, administer, and review local benefits programs within the designated region/cluster/large countries in close coordination with local partners (P&O PP, Rewards, P&O Services, Procurement, TAS, etc.) aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Review and analyse the local benefit programs and recommend changes in design, financing, and vendors as vital to ensure programs are efficient, market driven, attractive to employees, follows local regulatory requirements and aligned with global benefit principles.
• Responsible for participating in local / global benefits survey and data submission. Analyse survey results, benchmark local benefits against the market data and share finding with local partners.
• Handle benefit policy/program renewals, vendor changes, and new program expansions with the support of the regional benefits lead, local brokers, and procurement to leverage Novartis' global/regional purchasing power.
• Define benefit communication strategy and create content/ materials with support from local P&O and external consultant/broker.Handle the global benefits database for the respective region/cluster for all benefits plans.
• Support local & global partners in local benefit project i.e. new benefits implementation, global roll-outs, M&A, etc.
• Support local P&O / Rewards in ERG discussions and in capturing feedback on benefits programs for employees.
• Act as a SME on local benefits and support the country P&O on how to align the local benefits with global benefits strategy and with local customer needs.
• Submit changes or new benefit proposals for review/information to regional benefits lead according to the benefits governance framework.
• Prepare periodical reports required for legislative bodies, external vendors, unions, payroll etc.
• Develop and deliver training and advising to the country organization on any benefits-related programs & processes.

Role Requirements
What you bring to the role
• University degree, preferable in economics, mathematics or legal (only if figure minded)
• Fluent in English: Oral & writing
• Experience in management & administration benefit plans and specialized in pensions and Health and welfare plans or has experience in Employee Benefits consulting.
• Attention to detail and process oriented.
• Strong background in design, development & delivery of benefit programs for large MNCs
