Nova-Tech Engineering has a full-time opportunity for a Refurbisher.
The Refurbisher works to remanufacture existing subassemblies and complete Nova-Tech Engineering (NTE) products. They troubleshoot, repair, test, and calibrate components and subassemblies to ensure they function per established tolerances and specifications. They use hand tools, test stands, and small power tools to complete their objectives.

Summary of Core Responsibilities:
Interpret drawings, bills of material, and NTE procedures; Receives verbal instructions regarding remanufacturing duties to be performed
Rotate through different tasks in the remanufacturing areas
Determine if parts are of sufficient quality for remanufacturing
Perform in-process inspection (visual, gaging, and testing) during remanufacturing
Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed; Informs Product Owner of issues
Adjust assemblies to achieve specified electrical or mechanical characteristics
Perform daily equipment maintenance and complete daily documentation
Assigned work area, tools and gauges will be clean, and kept neat, safe and orderly at all times
Follow all NTE policies, procedures, and applicable laws
Will work overtime as requested by Product Owner
Recognize and comply with all safety rules
Promote continual improvement culture
The Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:
Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, repair instructions, and NTE procedures
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Strong attention to detail with ability to handle, disassemble, and reassemble small parts and electronic components
Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, plyers, wrenches, crimpers, wire cutters and strippers, clamps, presses, etc.
Ability to solder electronic and electrical components
Ability to interpret schematics
Ability to recognize non-conformances to inform Product Owner
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to operate a computer for logging time, data collection, and pulling procedures
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Excellent communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to reassemble, and test parts
The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member frequently works near moving mechanical tools and parts, and sources of electrical energy typically ranging from 5VDC to 480VAC
Eye protection is required at all times which may include safety glasses, goggles, or face shields.
The Team Member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrations
Hands are exposed to solder, fluxes, metals, oils, solvents, and adhesives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
