Refrigeration/AC Mechanic II
Greenfield, IN
As a Refrigeration/AC Mechanic II you will be responsible for performance of corrective, preventive, predictive and project related maintenance for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems, Refrigerator/Freezer Systems, Fume Hoods, Environmental Monitoring and Control System. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to;
Perform all aspects of corrective, preventive, predictive and project maintenance.
Familiarization with the Environmental Monitoring and Control System.
Assist in the repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of all systems related equipment such as: Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems, Refrigerator/Freezer Systems, Fume Hoods and Refrigerated Laboratory Equipment
Assist in the execution of small projects as requested by supervision.
Assist in the investigation and solutions to customer requests.
Coaches and advises less experienced staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
Obtain experience by utilizing more experienced staff to improve your skills and knowledge.
Share knowledge with co-workers and supervision for cross training efforts.
Interacts professionally with facility staff as well as customers.
Maintain all work-related licenses, certifications, and all other training requirements.
Must be able to work in animal room environments.
Exposure to external temperature and weather extremes on occasion.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Overtime and weekend work as required.
Flexibility to be on-call for after hour emergency response.
Mandatory immunizations and screening as required.
May work with potentially hazardous substances.
Climbing ladders and working in confined spaces may be necessary.
Exposure to greases, oil, solvents, additives, and live steam may be expected.
Educational/Qualifications/Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
College or trade school courses in HVAC.
CFC Universal License.
Ability to obtain other applicable licenses as required.
2+ years of experience working with Industrial/Commercial related HVAC systems.
Ability to use MS Office, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
Ability to operate within a CMMS.
