Reconciliation Specialist

Responsible for reconciling inventory issues in a timely manner, initiating Returns, and procuring Refunds from Sellers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS[ Sort packages that come into our building and then pre-scan them to see if the packages tie into quotes.[ Segregate packages that do tie into a quote separate from ones that do not.[ Prioritize receiving and resolving problem shipments including damage, defectives, shorts, substitutions, duplicate shipments and incorrect products received.[ Coordinate returns with Warehouse Operations, Direct Receiving, and QA.[ Notify appropriate staff of shipments with problems.[ Document problems and resolutions of those shipments.[ Initiate Return and Refund process with Sellers.[ Maintain database of returns information.[ Gather information from returns/refunds. Send any information over on books that cannot be shipped back; or that the seller did not want back so that these books can be moved off shelves.[ Work with Customer Service as necessary to find answers to order-related questions.[ Developing and maintaining procedural documentation on core job responsibilities.[ Assisting fellow team members with other projects and assignments, as needed.[ Other duties, as assigned, by departmental supervisor or their superiors.

REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS[ A high level of competency with word processing and spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel are required. General computer competence is also required.[ Working knowledge of MBS computer systems: Host and OP.[ Must be able to work well as part of a team, including working with other departments, supervisors, and managers.[ Must have ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize work responsibilities independently.[ Must have the ability to meet deadlines while delivering accurate work.[ Must be able to handle a faster paced environment and work well under tight deadlines.[ Must be highly organized and efficient.[ Must possess better than average problem-solving capabilities and be able to manage a task from start to finish independently.[ Must have excellent attendance/punctuality record and be above departmental standards in current position.[ Must be able to lift heavy packages up to 80 lbs.
