Receptionist / Patient Account Representative Details
Essential Job Duties:
Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.
Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route calls appropriately.
Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
Schedule and cancel patient appointments, prepare, and maintain medical records.
Process transactions and reconcile cash with charges, assist patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.
Provide training to new employees and perform other assigned duties.
Education, Training & Experience
Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.
Ability to multitask.
Computer knowledge
Previous EMR experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.
