The primary focus of the role is to consistently provide a caring, friendly and efficient service to our guests, whilst ensuring that all Guest Service procedures meet to Marriott Hanbury Manor and Marriott International requirements, with an emphasis on excellent customer service at all times. To support all aspects of front office including phones, guest relations, concierge and the nights function.

A Full-Time position based at the Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club
Number of Direct Reports – Front Office Shift Leader, Front Office Receptionists, Night Audits
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience:
Previous front office or guest relations experience essential. Hotel background preferred.Skills and Knowledge
Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Opera/Marsha knowledge
Training skills
Education or Certification
Good level of English essential.
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in hotel reception
First Aid Certification desirable
Valid UK driver’s license essential
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Monitoring Property Operations
Monitors and ensures compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.
Manages all period-end inventories.
Directs, monitors, and assists all overnight staff.
Ensures guest tracking scores and employee opinion survey goals are achieved.
Supporting Profitability and Revenue Goals
Reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Assists in the response and resolution of all guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.
Assists accounts receivable clerk in all aspects of job and in keeping all invoices due below 60 days.
Monitors that the supervisor is researching/processing all chargebacks and rebates on a timely basis.
Administers plans and actions to keep chargebacks and rebates to a minimum.
Ensures all employees are adhering to proper cash handling procedures and monitors overage/shortages.
Manages employee hours.
Works with the leadership team of the property to identify and implement action plans to prevent the reoccurrence of guest issues.
Finance
To establish a guest account upon registration, as per Hotel and Company policies, for direct billing, credit card and cash payment.
To audit and balance each day’s shift, prepare daily banking, and report any discrepancies.
To complete and understand the Credit Limit Reports and ensure that appropriate action is taken.
Ensure all transactions carry the necessary documented backup for the Finance department
Health & Safety
To understand the Front Office and Hotel Fire, Bomb and Health & Safety procedures, and to be able to action them.
Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies; be responsible and report all accidents.
Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
Ensures all employees are trained on specific aspects of their job and are aware of all resources to assist them in problem solving.
Keeps employees informed regarding new operational procedures, standards, or programs.
Helps direct reports to achieve their own development goals.
Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and supports the Peer Review Process.
Ensure associate shifts are rostered & recorded on Kronos workforce management, ensure daily/weekly checks are performed in a timely manner
Ensure the Oracle system is maintained with regards to holidays/sickness and other absences
