Position Description
Job Summary
This role will manage the warehouse receiving process for the vinyl siding plant in Williamsport, MD.
Receive all inbound raw materials, and MRO stock inventory items from outside vendors, ensuring accuracy and acting as primary contact to advise and direct relevant employees. Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, as well as all departments and employees involved in the shipping and receiving of purchased goods or services.
Manage the daily receiving duties by gathering and analyzing receiving paperwork for all raw materials, MRO stock inventory items, and supplies delivered to the facility, as well as services providedCollaborate with receiving departmental employees in tracing all inbound shipments as required, as well as collaborate with the Warehouse department to ensure proper delivery of daily interplant shipmentsConduct weekly meetings and work with plant requisitioners to resolve invoice queries and receiving discrepancies using SAP functions including utilizing the Medius AP Automation systemEnsure compliance through daily reports in SAP to verify the receiving process is accurate through comparison of receiving paperwork vs. the purchase orderExamine all receiving documents for accuracy and accountability to guarantee that SAP functions are completed in a timely manner, appropriately structured, filed, and retained in accordance with Saint-Gobain's retention policyManage Proof of Delivery (POD) from plant requisitioners for all receiving requests that have not been processed in SAP for purchased goods to remain in compliance with Saint-Gobain internal audit requirementsConduct month-end closing entries in SAP to ensure that all material and service receipts are documented within the required timeframe; weekend related tasks required if end of month falls on a Saturday or SundayPartner with the Plant Controller on monthly cycle counting for internal functions such as raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and maintenance stockroom parts, as well as providing supporting receiving documentation for all internal audit requests
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferredSAP & Microsoft Office experience preferred5+ years of Customer Service experience required2+ years of Leadership experience requiredMust possess the ability to: (1) understand new concepts quickly; (2) determine the appropriate approach; (3) plan, organize, schedule and coordinate activities; and (4) communicate results or progress effectively
