The Supply Chain Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of all incoming supplies and materials. This role involves inspecting, verifying, and recording incoming shipments, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards, and facilitating the distribution of these supplies to various hospital departments. The Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining an efficient supply chain within the hospital. The Receiver may be called upon to fill in for the Storeroom Manager at times.

Job Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and packing lists.
Inspect items for quality, accuracy, and compliance with hospital standards.
Identify and report any damaged, expired, or recalled items.
Accurately document received items, quantities, and relevant details.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of received shipments.
Record any discrepancies or issues and report them to the Materials Manager.
Organize and appropriately store received supplies in designated areas.
Ensure proper labeling and storage practices, following first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles.
Collaborate with suppliers and delivery personnel to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
Communicate with various hospital departments to schedule supply distribution.
Assist in periodic physical inventory counts and audits.
Support the Materials Manager in maintaining optimal stock levels.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of safety and sanitation.
Participate in compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and hospital policies.
Job Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED.
0-1 years of experience.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
