Job Description:
This role is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams. Responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables and managing program risk and compliance to standards. This role ensures delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost.
The role of the NC Release Manager is to be accountable for coordinating cross functional, multiple phase network implementations, engineering support and service delivery work. They coordinate tasks, gather, and facilitate delivery of requirements, manage communications, updates, escalates/takes escalations, tracks and manages synergies and dependencies supporting network implementation deliverables.
Position Summary
The NC Release Manager works closely with assigned Engineers, Program and Project Managers and other support and service providers. The NC Release Manager focuses and forecasts the delivery track of multi-phase work against change and release calendar(s). The NC Release Manager needs to fully understand the bank change processes.
The technology areas of concentration include Data Center/DMZ, B2B, Vendor Management, and Building Networking solutions including Wireless LAN, Structured Cabling and Cable Systems and Pathways. Public and private transport systems, WAN, Optical systems and emerging technologies such as Switched-Ethernet, LTE, (etc.), SDWAN, Cloud and Virtualized services.
Required Skills
Leadership: be a self-starter, self-directed and shows initiative.
Minimum 5- year experience working with implementation of Cisco Routers, Switches, and FWs
Focused on execution, delivery, and commitment to dates. Ability to work in a high paced environment.
Strong MS Office skills, MS Project, Excel…
Can manage risk; is a good decision maker.
Understands the big picture; can relate to the firm’s strategy and actions and how they support our business results.
Demonstrates ownership: Is accountable and influential/can hold others accountable (professionally).
Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to communicate and influence upward as well as laterally.
Organized and detail oriented.
Have a strong technical acumen.
Ability to partner with others for the good of the initiative.
Ability to recognize opportunities for automation and process improvement
Desired Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field/technical training. Must have strong analytical skills.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience required in Technical role supporting network project/programs.
Industry Certifications in PMP, ITIL are strongly preferred
Technical certifications such as CCNA are a plus.
Experience with Change Management and CAB processes and procedures.
Strong background in IT service delivery role.
Financial services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking), is a plus.
Ability to be nimble and flexible; prioritize workload, proactively react to issues, and consistently react to shifting deadlines.
Ability to create meaningful data that contributes to the Change Management and Service Delivery processes.
