  Summary / Role Purpose

  Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) is looking for a Software Verification Engineer II to join the Digital Mission Engineering business unit to conduct software testing of ANSYS applications such as Systems Tool Kit (STK), Orbit Determination Tool Kit (ODTK), and Test and Evaluation Tool Kit (TETK). This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The role works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical specialists on product issues. This is an opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in aerospace and software architecture.

  AGI is searching for candidates with a desire to make meaningful contributions to the Aerospace and Defense community and who have the technical and interpersonal skills required to do so in our fast-paced work environment. This position is based in Exton, Pennsylvania.

  Key Duties and Responsibilities

  Perform functional, application, regression, performance, and API testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problemsAutomate testing activities at both the application and source code levelsContribute to expanding test coverage, monitoring daily test results, and diagnosing root causes of test failuresParticipate in defect management and testing metricsApply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processesWork in a variety of computing environments, specifically Windows, Linux, VM'sParticipate in the maintenance of our suite of automated testsBe an active and flexible team member, ensuring the success of our projects

  Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  BS in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experienceProgramming experience in C#, Java and/or PythonScripting experience in Perl or other scripting languagesExceptional problem-solving abilitiesWilling and able to learn new problem areas, codebases, programming languages, platforms, and toolsKnowledge of Windows & Linux, operation and administration - both will be requiredSound interpersonal skills, communication skills, judgment and analytical abilitiesAttention to detail, organized, a passion for experimenting and detective work

  Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  Technical knowledge and experience with standard software engineering practices such as CI/CDExperience with automated test frameworks such as NUnit and/or JunitBasic understanding of cross-platform development and containersExperience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environmentKnowledge of Ansys software products, especially our Digital Mission Engineering (DME) products
