　　Summary / Role Purpose

　　The R&D Verification Engineer II joins the Release Management Unit to conduct software testing focused on installation and licensing for all Ansys applications. This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality and usability and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied. The role works closely with other members of the product creation team and communicates with technical specialists on product issues.

　　Every day, you will be building lasting relationships with your colleagues, identifying key issues in what they're developing so those issues do not make their way to customers. Further, you will be testing cutting-edge technologies that are revolutionizing how Ansys delivers and licenses software.

　　Key Duties and Responsibilities

　　Specify and write test cases, create, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts Perform end-to-end, exploratory, integration, and regression testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problemsCreate test plans, participate in defect management and testing metricsApply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processesWork in a variety of computing environments: Windows, Linux, VM's, REST, Cloud, ContainersAutomate testing activities for graphical and command-line user interfaces that can be executed at any stage of development

　　Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

　　BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience

　　Preferred Qualifications and Skills

　　Technical knowledge and experience with frameworks for automated testing of graphical/web-based applications (Sikuli, Selenium, AutoIT, PyAutoGui)Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environmentGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
