About the role
The R&D Lead, US Pain is responsible for driving innovation strategy, technical oversight, and successful delivery for US Pain portfolio working in close partnership with cross functional leaders in R&D, Commercial, and QSC.
Role Responsibilities
Technical Delivery: Lead the US Pain team with accountability to deliver E2E product development from concept ideation to scale-up. Provide technical oversight and drive technical rigor in product development underpinned by Trusted Science. Management oversight of internal and external development programs.
Talent Management: Attracting, developing and retaining key talent through coaching, mentoring, capability building, and training.
Budget, Resources, and Risk Management: Work as a member of the US OTC leadership team to manage resources, budget, and prioritization of R&D activities to ensure on time delivery of milestones and innovation projects. Proactively manages risks through planning and implementation of mitigation strategies.
Innovation Strategy: Collaborate with the US Innovation Lead to develop and implement the US Pain innovation strategy.
Leadership, Influence, and Stakeholder Management: Work in close partnership with cross functional team members across R&D, QSC, and Commercial to drive accountability and proactive risk management in deployment of the US Pain Innovation strategy.
Compliance: Ensure team compliance with relevant US regulations, Quality and EHS standards, SOPs, and Training requirements.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in a relatable scientific course of study
10+ years of experience in Consumer Healthcare in OTC drug with a demonstrated ability to navigate the complexities of the US Regulatory environment from NDA drug to US OTC Monograph innovation pathways.
Experienced in building innovation strategy in rooted in Trusted Science and deep human understanding in close collaboration with commercial partner to drive business growth. Providing R&D input into consumer concepts and claims strategies that will contribute to US BU performance metrics.
Established experience in business acumen, managing budget, resources, and proactive risk management.
Demonstrated leadership and influence as a member of a cross-functional team to drive accountability for delivering business growth.
Management experience in leading and developing others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science or PhD in Scientific Field

The salary range for this role is: $177,000 to $266,523 plus a 25% bonus.
