We are looking for a R&D Engineer who would like to be part of a team that is developing the latest in assembly systems for Tier 1 automotive companies.
Job Purpose
Support new product development and improvements to existing products. Remain fluent in the latest technologies and identify opportunities to implement in our products.
Primary Responsibilities
The Associate R&D Engineer performs a wide range of duties such as:
• Research, develop, and test new automation products
• Work with mechanical and electrical engineering to understand current product limitations and desired improvements.
• Support transition of new products into production environment
• Create documentation of new products and features
• Train team on operation and troubleshooting of new products and features
• Perform and assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Must be well versed in machine controls and have good mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Experience programming in JAVA, C, and C++ required
• Strong embedded system skills
• Strong spatial analysis
• Experience with machine vision a plus
• Ability to read and edit electrical and mechanical schematics
• Experience in automated manufacturing practices and processes
• Knowledgeable with robotics
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
• Motivated with strong interpersonal skills
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Strong programming skills required
At least 5 years of experience
