Overview
Responsible for the planning and execution of assigned Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) engagements, including project facilitation (e.g., training, education, support, etc.), coordination with applicable Second Line lines, and completion and delivery of effective challenge. Leverage subject matter expertise and employ in-depth knowledge as a specialist of risk management techniques to support the enhancement of risk owners' identification and assessment of key risks exposures, both at the business unit and organizational level. Support operational risk advisory, review, and challenge, including monitoring and connectivity with enterprise issues, enterprise incident, and operational risk event programs. In order to perform this role, a high level of interaction is required with senior leaders and business areas at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Train and facilitate risk owners to properly conduct and document RCSA processProvide consultation to risk owners regarding identifying and assessing risks, including effectiveness of control environmentIdentify, document and deliver effective challenge of RCSAs, including top/emerging risk exposures and risk rating justificationsEngage key stakeholders as needed to enable the RCSA lifecycle and strengthen the output through recurring knowledge-sharing Identify control deficiencies and escalate applicable issues to managementPrepare written reports for senior management and/or governance group review and approvalAggregate, analyze, and draw conclusions for themes and trends associated with completed RCSAs Keep abreast of new and evolving risk management developments and industry changesPartner with key internal stakeholders, both at the business unit/organizational levels, to maintain awareness of organizational risk exposuresKeep abreast of new and evolving risk management developments and industry changesDevelop relationships and remain active in professional networks (e.g. ABA, RMA, etc.) to stay abreast of current and emerging issues. Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or AccountingAdditional Requirements:
Knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk (e.g. FDIC, OCC, FRB, CFPB, etc.)Knowledge of risk management techniques and practices, including a working knowledge of Risk Control Frameworks (e.g., COSO, Basel, etc.)Knowledge of various bank/government regulatory requirements and processesAbility to leverage relationship management capabilities and demonstrate problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenExceptional organization, analysis, decision making and problem resolution skills Must be able to meet deadlinesUses independent judgment to accomplish objectives Advanced PC Skills including Microsoft Visio, Excel and PowerPointOther Preferred Qualifications:
Large bank experienceAdvanced degree (e.g., MBA, etc.)Enterprise risk and/or operational risk experienceExperience working with a GRC application
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $98,000 to $150,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.
