As a Manager, Revenue, you will be responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports including month-end closings, balance sheet review / reconciliation, financial controls and liaison with internal and external auditors.
This role will be in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include:Interacting proactively with functional areas to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting is accomplished within prescribed deadlines and in accordance with IFRS / Alcon Manual of AccountingManaging the completion and review monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations ensuring they are robust and balances are accurately statedManaging the monthly closing processOngoing process improvements made through the month to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and address business / operational changes.Collaborating proactively with key partners, including Finance colleagues, internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Regional/Global Financial Reporting and Accounting. Communication with these partners is appropriate and timely when questions regarding accounting/reporting matters arise.Ensuring all processes comply with Alcon standards and policies (i.e. global processes, Alcon Manual of Accounting, Alcon Financial Controls Manual, Management Authorization Levels, etc.).Understanding all impacts to the general ledger for assigned area(s) due to other intra- and inter-departmental transactions including manufacturing, inventory and cost accounting, inter-company receivables and payables, cash activity and activity from other functional departments.What You'll Bring To Alcon:
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs;Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English5 Years of Relevant Experience3 Years of Demonstrated LeadershipPreferred qualifications:Masters or Advanced degree in Accounting and/or FinanceCPA/Chartered AccountantPublic and Industry AccountingKnowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements.
