As the R2R - Manager, HR Accounting CoE in a managerial capacity, you will be responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports including selecting technical accounting matters, month-end closings, balance sheet review/reconciliation, financial controls and liaison with internal and external auditors in Fort Worth, Texas!
Key Responsibilities: Interact proactively with functional areas to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting is accomplished within prescribed deadlines and in accordance with IFRS / Alcon Accounting ManualOwn the completion and review monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations ensuring they are robust and balances are accurately statedHandle the monthly closing process for assigned area(s)Ongoing process improvements made through the month to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and address business / operational changes.Responsible for the delivery of service levels and SLA/KPI targetsCollaborate proactively with vital team members, including Finance colleagues, internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Regional/Global Financial Reporting and Accounting. Communication with these team members is appropriate and timely when questions regarding accounting/reporting matters ariseEnsure all processes follow Alcon standards and policies (i.e. global processes, Alcon Accounting Manual, Alcon Financial Controls Manual, Management Authorization Levels, etc.)Understand all impacts to the general ledger for assigned area(s) due to other intra- and inter-departmental transactions including manufacturing, inventory and cost accounting, inter-company receivables and payables, cash activity and activity from other functional departments.Preferred Requirements:Accounting and/or Finance DegreeCPA/Chartered AccountantPublic and Industry AccountingKnowledge of IFRS (GAAP), accounting, financial reporting requirements and strong analytical skillsFinancial accounting and reporting, auditing and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focusLeadership, interpersonal, influencing and management skillsProficient ERP knowledge (SAP)Experience working with shared services teamsTravel requirements: No regular travel
