About R0011479 Controller

  We trust that as a Controller you will: (responsibilities)

  Support the V.P. of Finance in providing financial management expertise to the operating division as well as to the corporate financial organizationEnsure that accounting, control, audit and administrative duties are performed effectively and efficientlyEnsure that financial information is accurately developed, analyzed and reported to managementEnsure forecasts, project budgets and division budgets are prepared timely and accuratelySupport Contract and Closing process including responsibility for contract review and closing documents for customer transactions as well as land purchasesManage, motivate and develop Financial and Administrative staffEnsure that corporate financial policies and procedures are adhered toEnsure that all corporate and operational reports are submitted accurately and timelyAssists in the management of information system issues and concernsProvide financial assistance to all functional areas as neededResponsible for accuracy of financial reports for assigned entities and subsidiariesYou are willing to perform other duties as assigned

  About you:

  Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA, active CPA candidacy acceptableBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceSeven years of experience in Finance/AccountingAccounting experience, preferably in the homebuilding, land development and/or construction industryExperience with finance and accounting systems and softwareKnowledge of cost accounting (specifically construction industry)Prior experience managing and training accounting/finance personnelComputer literacy, including excellent Excel skillsCredit report in good standing

  FLSA Status: Exempt

  Will have responsibilities such as:

  Interviewing, selecting, and training employees;Setting rates of pay and hours of work;Appraising productivity; handling employee grievances or complaints, or disciplining employees;Determining work techniques;Planning the work;Apportioning work among employees;Determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed;Planning budgets for work;Monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance;Providing for safety and security of the workplace

  Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to scheduleAbility to oversee direct reports daily and provide guidance as neededAbility to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic deviceAbility to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level managerAbility to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as neededAbility to operate a motor vehicleComply with company policies and procedure

  Physical Demands:

  Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeThe ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  *Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
