We trust that as Senior Accountant you will: (responsibilities)
Assist Division Controller with monthly analysis and internal reporting of Division financial statements and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with internal reporting requirementsPerforms reconciliations, journal entries, analysis, and reporting related to assigned entitiesAs part of the month end close process review departmental overheads and prepare commentary for significant variancesResponsible for accuracy/maintenance of entries from the fixed asset reporting systemAssist closing coordinator with pre-audit HUD's for closings and closing homes via JE templatePreparation of intercompany account reconciliationsSign-off and posting of cash receipt journal entriesAssist AP Admin with maintaining all coding schedulesResponsible for periodic operational reports such as volume risk, backlog margin report, etc.Assist with internal and external auditors as neededAssist Division Controller in preparation and review of annual budget and quarterly updatesPerform other duties as assigned
What you will need: (competencies, behaviors & attributes)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required3-5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting experience, preferably in the homebuilding, land development and/or construction industryExperience with finance and accounting systems and softwareComputer literacy, including intermediate Excel skills and job cost related softwareCredit report in good standing
