The Quick to Care™ Integrated Offering program is a comprehensive drug development solution created specifically for new and emerging drug development companies. The program integrates the drug substance, drug product development, and clinical supply services into a single solution to accelerate drug discovery to approval.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Quick to Care Program Manager, you will act as the client advocate across PSG's broad network of services. You will independently manage a portfolio of complex client programs, leading the communication and governance strategy to deliver on the integrated program timelines and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
The Quick to Care Program Manager demonstrates advanced capabilities in project management and other industry or business processes and is responsible for defining the overall program governance and governing the program throughout its lifecycle. They deliver results through coordinating the projects and their interdependencies, creative problem solving, cross-functional and cross-business unit collaboration, and personal proficiency in program management. The Quick to Care Program Manager acts as a matrixed leader across the business unit project management teams, supporting both business and customer strategy development.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Acumen
• Manages a large, complex program portfolio or portfolio of multiple projects for clients, planning the overall program and monitoring the progress of the individual projects. Number of programs depends on client needs and complexity of projects.
• Highly skilled at structuring program(s) in line with client strategy, demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach and optimizing project processes to identify client needs, set objectives, establish goals, define resources requirements, and track performance indicators.
• Proactively diagnoses program challenges and independently develops solutions that correct problems and/or overcomes undesirable situations.
• Develops methods to identify, monitor, and evaluate risks and issues, as well as consequences to completing specific program objectives.
• Extensive understanding of customer contract terms and conditions and skilled in negotiation skills and techniques. Coaches others in understanding terms and conditions and in negotiation techniques.
Client Relationship Management
• Highly skilled at performing and interpreting a comprehensive client need analysis and effectively communicates client needs to the correct cross-functional teams. Collects feedback regularly to ensure efforts are meeting client expectations and manages all stakeholder communications.
• Thorough knowledge of Thermo Fisher's solutions portfolio and capable of articulating how Thermo Fisher's value proposition is superior to competitive offerings.
• Understands client's project portfolio and advocates for them across cross-functional teams throughout the project phases including anticipating and uncovering client challenges and seeking additional opportunities to meet client needs to ensure exemplary client satisfaction.
• Understands the industry structure and marketplace, including key drivers and trends. Identifies how industry trends impact customer needs. Articulates and communicates the position and strategy of Thermo Fisher within the industry and maintains knowledge of competitive offerings.
Technical Knowledge
• Demonstrates advanced technical capabilities and strong expertise in site processes, industry requirements, problem solving, etc.
• Anticipates client needs and proactively demonstrates how Thermo Fisher and client can work together to achieve these objectives.
• Manages program efficiently in the harmonized project management tools to provide accurate forecasting information to core team, leadership and the client. Maintains accountability for individual and team outcomes.
• Advances the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes, procedures, and outputs.
• Demonstrates comfort with technology and use innovations to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes. Leverages tools and technologies to ultimately move the program through it's phases.
Project Management Leadership
• Informal leader of program management team who provides mentorship and guidance for new hires and team members and is viewed as a role model leader by peers.
• Strong practical experience in project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects.
Supports strategic development of the program management function, including potential for new or expanded business, global initiatives, cross-site processes, etc.Collaborates well with others and builds effective business relationships with various colleagues while fostering teamwork.Creates SMART objectives and forms a realistic action roadmap with timelines.Assumes the leadership role on programs as appropriate, manages and supports cross-functional teams to be successful, and strategically plans an effective and efficient timeline to be completed on time.
Other Responsibilities
Facilitates cross-selling activities either upstream or downstream to existing contracted services.Works closely with our sales team in order to develop new business.Leads cross-site joint steering committee meetings ensuring that global governance practices are closely aligned with the client.Global travel approximately 10% may be required.

Education: Bachelor of Science in relevant scientific field or education/work experience equivalentCertification: PMP certification or similar preferredYears of Experience:8+ years experience in project management6+ years experience if holding an advanced degreeExperience with Pharmaceutical manufacturing of Drug Substance, Drug Products, and Clinical SupplySound understanding of various phases of drug product development across Thermo Fisher business units from early phase formulation to clinical trials and commercial supply Other Experience:Strong planning ability: ability to develop a clear and detailed plan using digital tools (e.g., Smartsheet)Strong customer facing experienceStrong negotiating skillsProficiency using MS Office applicationsFamiliarity with Good Manufacturing PracticesStrong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate othersAbility to make and meet commitmentsExcellent written and oral communication skills
