Aerotek, voted Best of Staffing, is hiring Quality Technician to work with a local manufacturing facility with a starting pay of $18.00/hour (paid weekly).
Must have experience with Micrometers, Calipers and Gauges*The Quality Technician will be working within a team of 8 in the quality department.
The quality technician is responsible for inspecting receiving parts (parts they receive from suppliers), inspecting parts coming out of the assembly machines (checking for quality and making sure the machine is running correctly), and inspecting parts being shipped out. They will also inspect parts that are recalled from the customer. They will be utilizing a number of tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gages for inspection.
Job Responsibilities:
Inspects manufactured and/or purchased parts, tools and gauges and completed components using Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 gauges.
Uses established company quality control procedures including statistical process control (SPC).
Performs gauge capability studies on equipment used during Receiving Inspection (RI).
Operates CMM for critical dimensions and performs layouts using various layout gauges.
Uses MS Excel and MS Word to collect and analyze data.
Advises area supervision of any deviation from established criteria.
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
Completes machine qualifications, process capability studies and R&R studies.
Qualifications:
2+ years of previous manufacturing experience in Quality
2+ years of quality inspecting in a manufacturing environment
Blueprint reading
Use Calipers, Micrometers and various gauges
Must wear slip resistant boots/shoes (all other PPE is provided)
Ability to work 40+ hours every week
