Description:
The quality supervisor is responsible for overseeing production, quality assurance, and quality control. The individual in this role is responsible for maintaining and perform training on the facility pre-requisite programs including: pre-operational inspection, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring (PEM) and non-PEM, allergen qualification, etc. Additionally, the quality supervisor will be responsible for executing and training on departmental-specific policies, procedures and programs related to quality control, HACCP, SQF, etc.
Responsibilities:
-Work alongside quality management, research and development, production, and all other departments to ensure food safety and quality.
-Provide leadership, training, and support for all quality and laboratory personnel
-Maintain and perform training on departmental policies, procedures, and programs.
-Adhere to good manufacturing practices and comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
-Lead continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
-Lead all food safety and quality initiatives related to Food Safety, SQF, etc.
-Prepare, assist, and lead both internal and external inspections/audits.
-Manage all other functions related food quality and safety: ex: laboratory, production, sanitation, calibrations, compliance, etc.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other scientific discipline.
-3 to 5 years experience within food & beverage manufacturing specifically within quality
-2+ years experience in quality leadership/supervisory roles
-Experience with food safety standards
-2+ years experience leading internal/external audits
Nice to Have:
-HACCP Certification
-PCQI Certification
-SQF Practitioner
