OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking to hire a Quality Inspection Supervisor in our Houston, TX Space Systems facility. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the quality inspection process. This includes developing and implementing quality control procedures, coordinating inspection activities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position may be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.Manage and lead a team of quality inspectors, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.Train associates in inspection processes and toolingConduct regular inspections and layered process audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance metrics and identify trends or patterns.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the quality inspection process.Support customer and internal AS9100 audits and lab toursEstimate inspection support resource needs and touch labor cost targets in support of program demands on inspection activities as requested.Work with the Manufacturing Control Planner to establish the schedule for all Assembly efforts.Establish Receiving/FAI Inspection Tier Boards and present to leadership as required during morning meetingsBasic Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractProven experience in quality management or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in using quality management software and tools.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on the manufacture of complex mechanical systems is desirable.SAP/Solumina experienceCalypso Zeiss CMM Programming experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment and experience in using any type of Publishing SystemKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, machining concepts and special processing, and NASA spaceflight certifications, is desirable.#reempowerprogram This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.
