This is a Quality Improvement Specialist remote position.
Summary: Currently, Alliant Health Solutions seeks a Quality Improvement Specialist. This position is remote, and candidates must be based in Mississippi. The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for improving quality outcomes in the area End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) by supporting the CMS Task Order goals, initiatives, and deliverables for Alliant Health Solutions, as supported by Alliant Quality, the Medicare ESRD Network contractor for Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. As additional CMS Task Orders are awarded, the Quality Improvement Specialist will provide subject matter expertise for CMS goal achievement.
Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance, support, and education to ESRD providers and stakeholders in order to achieve contract goals. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to develop and support ESRD initiatives, projects, patients, documents, and tools for ESRD Networks and assigned communities. Understand, assess, and interpret data for quality improvement efforts. Represent ESRD Networks on local/state/national levels in presentations, on-site meetings, and webinars. Track and monitor projects to ensure timely submittal or execution on contract deliverables. Establish relationships with dialysis facility staff involved in assigned quality improvement initiatives. Serve as National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) technical expert to address facility staff needs, enrollment and reporting concerns. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public health, nursing, or related healthcare field. 3 or more years of experience in project management, planning and/or coordination of daily activities, data analysis, quality management techniques and tools. Works in close collaboration with other team members to support the development of new projects and continuous improvement of the overall work process within the team. Promotes core values of teamwork, professionalism, effective communication skills and positive attitude. Demonstrates experience in healthcare Quality Improvement (QI) and the ability to motivate and lead othersto provide quality services and deliverables in a timely manner, with experience with improvement of HAIs in a healthcare setting is preferred. Maintains security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA laws, URAC regulations, and company policies. Demonstrates compliance with the corporate and departmental policies as evidenced by attendance, punctuality, and dress. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned. Demonstrated experience in healthcare Quality Improvement (QI) and the ability to motivate and lead others to provide quality services and deliverables in a timely manner, with experience with improvement of HAIs in a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge, skills, and experience with critical-thinking, innovation, and problem-solving, recommending successful solutions, including the spread and implementation of such solutions for large scale change. Excellent oral and written communication spanning from executives to general public. Ability to handle multiple activities/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to interact with all levels of an organization with excellent interpersonal and team skills. Computer literate with Intermediate-Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams and Edge, and Internet. Ability to travel by driving or flying to Company locations, customer events or meetings or other locations as needed.
