Actalent is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to support our team.
Description:
Responsible for a wide range of inspection functions supporting quality operations. Reviewing documents, drawings, specifications, planning to quality standard. Creating manufacturing planes for production. Training manufacturing (Inspection and Production) to understand customer requirements.
• Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools/equipment including but not limited to caliper, micrometer, height gage, hardness and conductivity.
• Familiar with outside processing certifications
• Proficient in reading Engineering drawings/models
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• CATIA/Enovia CAD experience
• Basic understanding of a CMM
• Basic understanding of CNC machining
• AS9100/QMS Auditing
• Six sigma/8D and or training in RCCA’s
Skills:
Quality engineering, Quality assurance, cmm, as9100, qms, cmm inspection, catia, enovia, blueprint reading
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Perform first article inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices while working in compliance with AS9100 standards.
• Planning and work instructions review
• Preform Training for quality and production for customer requirements
• Working knowledge of conventional inspections tools and gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, thread gauges
• Communicates with internal customers
• Assembly Inspection
• CMM Inspection
• FAI approvals
