  Quality Engineer (Glendale, KY)

  Our client in Glendale, KY, is currently hiring Several Engineers to lead the transformation of the electric vehicle EV battery business through several new partnerships.

  Come join this team to help lead the battery revolution, billions will be invested, building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses in Tennessee and Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will combine legacy automobile manufacturing expertise with 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise, to become the world’s best and largest battery manufacturer.

  Following is more information on the Quality Engineer. Process Engineers and Controls Engineers are also needed:

  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.

  Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  Review gate safety and reliability assessments in advance.

  Respond to requirement of marketing and cell development; RFQ assessment (analyzing of test condition, conducting test and reporting test result).

  Conduct special tests and urgent tests requested from major customers.

  Review and approve results of safety, performance, and reliability tests in the process of gate evaluation.

  Conduct regular test of shipment safety (conducting pre-requisite test of a complete range of manufacturing instrument and reporting test result).

  Conduct mass production reliability test.

  Conduct test products 4M change.

  Set up evaluation systems of B_QMS (Battery Quality Management System) and maintain it in real-time.

  Establish test standards by item, register revised versions, and analyze measurement system (MSA).

  Plan, drive, and coordinate certification initiatives.

  Respond to post-assessment in UL WTDP; TUV and UN certification.

  Respond to S-mark cell certification for ESS (Japan; UL Japan, UL Korea, TUV Rhineland); UL1642 and UK 1973 for xEV and ESS (North America; UL Korea, ULAG); domestic certification (Korea Battery Industry Association KBIA).

  Conduct UN transportation testing and publish test reports.

  Manage assets and maintain instruments (evaluation instrument. maintenance/check log, standard operating of evaluation instrument).

  Review the specification of evaluation instrument and order the instrument.

  Plan and implement monthly calibration.

  Manage and monitor environment of quality evaluation building in light of 3R and 5Sl.

  Conduct job hazard analysis (analysis of near-miss accidents, compliance and material safety data).

  Manage safety and security of quality evaluation building (IT, facility in general).

  Qualifications:

  Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through route cause analysis and drive change back to the production departments. Must have the necessary skill set to have job placement flexibility and the expectation to rotate to various positions within the plant such as Production or Quality.

  Must display strong customer orientation with a commitment to upholding plant processes through strict adherence to the Quality Operating System.

  Must demonstrate the ability to execute to achieve results, while organizing and managing multiple priorities.

  Must have the ability to serve as a strong and confident technical mentor to the production organization (both hourly and salary).

  Must have strong written and verbal communications skills.

  Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.

  Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase.

  Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

  Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Material, Electrical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.

  At least 1-3 years of experience developing and managing quality systems.

  Track record of successful project and QMS implementations/experience with production validation process preferred.

  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  Maintenance Managers (Stanton, Tennessee)

  Our client in Stanton is currently hiring several Maintenance Managers to lead the transformation of the electric vehicle EV battery business through several new partnerships.

  Come join this team to help lead the battery revolution, billions will be invested, building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses in Tennessee and Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will combine legacy automobile manufacturing expertise with 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise, to become the world’s best and largest battery manufacturer.

  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.

  Onsite or Virtual interviews with the hiring managers immediately.

  Maintenance supervisors or Maintenance Management, with Automotive experience or similar backgrounds.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Safety:

  Ensure department compliance with government, industry and corporate standards.

  Review department safety metrics and coordinate improvement activities.

  Serve as maintenance liaison for launch-related activities, Construction Service Safety audits/compliance checks, and inter-department Pre-Task Analyses.

  Quality:

  Direct data-driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics.

  Devise and implement strategy to tighten tolerances within specifications for fit, form and functionality.

  Delivery:

  Coordinate the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-ups.

  Facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings.

  Facilitate constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate bottlenecks.

  Cost:

  Promote and ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing engineering organization toward the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structure.

  Monitor, control, and improve Equipment OEE.

  Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives: meet or beat schedule.

  Manage and support material control (spare part inventory), repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviews.

  People:

  Supervise hourly skilled trade employees.

  Communication and Recognition.

  Participate in Time & Data Management meetings for scheduling, staffing, procurement, equipment maintenance, inventory. control, constraint analysis, and the coordination of production activities with codependent departments.

  Build Team Leaders’ and Team Members’ capabilities; mentor subordinates.

  Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks; build and nurture a One Team environment.

  Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.

  Maintenance:

  Lead all daily, weekend and shutdown maintenance planning with input from your team(s).

  Integrate the maintenance plan into total department business plan.

  Maximize equipment effectiveness through a detailed, standardized, and prioritized preventive and predictive maintenance plan designed to improve productivity.

  Provide resources, support, and priorities for all maintenance actions; Use designated system(s) to document all maintenance activities (planned and crisis) and create reports to support continuous improvement.

  Use designated system(s) to analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance plan, monitor cycle. times of automation and capture down time events / trends. Review and follow up to improve equipment availability / OEE FTT%

  Jointly coordinate maintenance and engineering activities.

  Minimum Requirements:

  Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, High School Diploma required.

  Experience: 1-2 years supervisory experience of skilled trades / technical support.

  Experience: 3-5 years automotive experience.

  Ability to work any shift in a 7-day pattern.

  Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily. work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput.

  Strong organizational and administrative skills.

  Ability to multi-task.

  Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.

  Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

  Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase.

  Candidate must be willing to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during initial plant start-up phase.

  Preferred Requirements:

  Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

  Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

  Knowledge of constraint management principles.

  Safety and Quality experience preferred.
