Purpose of Position:
• Drive and handle corrective and preventive actions for quality related issues in assigned area of responsibility
• Support, develop, and continuously improve product quality and the plant quality systems
Major Responsibilities:
• Disposition discrepant materials
• Perform process and internal ISO audits
• Work with suppliers to facilitate a reduction in incoming defects.
• Provide ongoing communications and support to customers for quality issues. Drive improvements in outgoing product and advocate customer interests.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• We require a minimum of a BS in Engineering (Optical or Mechanical preferred)
• 1-5 years of prior experience (internship experience considered)
• A passion for driving continuous improvement in themselves and within the organization
• A desire to learn and to grow
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communications skills
Desired Experience:
• Specifying, measuring, or manufacturing high precision machined mechanical or optical components
• Statistics and the use of MSAs, SPC, and CPK
• Understanding of optical systems and wavefront measurement
• GD&T proficiency
• Supplier or customer management
• Writing and evaluating experiment plans
• Use of a variety of performance excellence tools (VSM, 5S, Just in Time, 6 Sigma, etc.)
Travel:
• We anticipate minimal travel for this role to support domestic and international suppliers or customers.
General work hours:
• M-F 7:30 to 4:30 but flexibility will be required to connect with suppliers/ customers in other time zones.

The range for this position is $62,764.00 - $86,301.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
