  Cognosante is seeking an outgoing, organized, eager, and proactive individual to fill a remote Quality Assurance Officer role to support the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare contract. This contract is a critical component of defending the Medicare Trust Fund by collecting billions of dollars annually in mistaken payments from debtors. The CMS Medicare contract is the center point of that process – combining both Coordination of Benefits case work and Data Collection from Beneficiaries, Group Health Plans (GHP) and Non-Group Health Plans (NGHP) to ensure accurate payment of Medicare claims.

  What is the position?

  The Quality Assurance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products or services meet and exceed established quality standards. S/he shall provide and maintain a comprehensive quality program for the control of quality that is acceptable to the Government and ensures the requirements of the contract are met. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes.

  What will I get to do?

  Key responsibilities include:

  Serve as required personnel on the contract.

  Provide leadership and guidance to team members.

  Supervise and oversee the work of direct reports.

  Motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals.

  Coordination and communication with Trainers, Compliance Officer, etc., when a deficiency in guidelines, processes, procedures, and/or policies is uncovered during the contractor's established quality review program.

  Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to ensure that quality assurance processes align with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive quality assurance plan in alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.

  Collaborate with stakeholders to establish quality benchmarks and performance indicators.

  Conduct regular evaluations of existing processes to identify areas for improvement.

  Recommend and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency and quality outcomes.

  Establish processes for regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established quality standards and procedures.

  Document and communicate findings and collaborate with relevant teams to address identified issues.

  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities.

  Prepare and present regular reports to management on quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives.

  Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

  Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  Stay informed about changes in quality standards and update processes accordingly.

  Other duties as assigned.

  What qualifications do I need?

  Required minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

  4 or more years of experience in quality control or quality assurance activities.

  Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in a related industry.

  Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy.

  Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  Must be a US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US (if not a citizen) and a resident of the US for at least 3 years within the last 5 years.

  What additional characteristics will help me thrive?

  Experience with CMS programs

  Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

  Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies.

  Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).

  Compensation

  $58,045.66 - $96,935.81

  The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees. It is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee.
