Quality Assurance Automation (multiple positions) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will test State Streets proprietary, industry-leading platforms by coordinating with development, writing test cases, executing tests, contributing to building our automated testing tools and scripts, and conducting product testing supporting the Companys QA environment. Specific duties of the position include: analyzing testing requirements for State Streets software platforms and designing effective test cases to meet requirements; working closely with QA team members and development and other IT teams to ensure quick resolution of reported issues; writing, reviewing, and implementing test plans and test cases (both manual and automated); taking ownership of product modules, QA effort estimation, and performance of required testing for all software modifications; working with the Operations Team to resolve production issues as needed; documenting all test artifacts, including test cases and test plans, in the Company's Test Case Management System; researching technologies and methodologies which will improve the Company's test practices; utilizing experience with foreign exchange trading applications and large, complex business applications and distributed systems; utilizing troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills; utilizing advanced understanding of the software development lifecycle, especially in Agile; utilizing automation tools and scripting in the performance of assigned job duties. Will apply skills with web services, REST, SOAP, XSLT, XSD, and XML; databases (Oracle, SQL); FIX or SWIFT; Web Services testing; and UNIX or Linux and Windows operating systems, including using standard UNIX utilities to complete testing and identify issues, in the performance of assigned job duties. Hybrid-remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or another occupation/title providing experience in software QA engineering and testing. Alternatively, a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus 3 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or another occupation/title providing experience in software QA engineering and testing.
Total experience above must include the following: 3 years of UFT programming experience; 3 years of strong SQL experience in Oracle, MySQL; and 3 years of Java/Selenium programming experience. Must also have the following: hands-on experience with keyword/data driven automation frameworks; hands on experience with cucumber and BDD framework; hands-on experience testing Web Services using SoapUI or equivalent tool; experience with JIRA, Jenkins; experience in testing single page applications; hands-on experience writing VB Script code, not simply running tests; hands-on experience writing code for Java/Selenium projects and UFT scripts; proven solid communication skills and ability to work effectively with developers and analysts; proven ability to analyze customer requirements and design effective test cases; proven ability to ensure quick resolution of Customer reported issues; proven ability to write, review, and implement test plans and test cases (both manual and automated); demonstrated experience in taking ownership of product modules, QA effort estimations, and performing the required testing for all software modifications; proven ability to document all Test artifacts including Test Cases and Test Plans in the Test Case Management System; demonstrated experience with large, complex business applications (distributed systems); demonstrated experience in understanding the software development lifecycle, especially in Agile; demonstrated experience with web services, REST, SOAP, XSLT, XSD, and XML; demonstrated experience with and solid understanding of Oracle and SQL; demonstrated experience with Web Services testing; Demonstrated experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems; Proven ability using standard UNIX utilities to do testing and identify issues; and demonstrated experience with automation tools and scripting.
