  Become a Quality Assurance (QA) Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) within the Customer Service (CS) organization and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be responsible for providing guidance and quality assurance in the areas of Compliance, Audit, Inspections, and other areas of business processes to identify gaps and reduce risk to SCE. Our team manages, leads, and advises on QA/QC and risk which may affect CS. The team also ensures effective and active communication between CS and Ethics and Compliance (E&C) key partners for Energy Regulation Compliance Program (ERCP) and currently supports over 1,500 compliance requirements, more than any other Operating Unit. The Advisor will ensure compliance deliverables are met, performs QA assessments of high-risk business processes and audit responses, reviews business controls to support operational excellence, and provides visibility to management through reporting of results and recommendations.

  We partner with team members throughout CS, E&C, Internal Audit Services Division and others to achieve the goal of 100% compliance. Oversees all assigned internal and external audit responses to ensure they are well vetted; evidence is accurate/appropriate and submitted before due date.

  Ensure CS business partners have the information needed to effectively meet/exceed ERCP program deliverables (risk-ranking, self-certifications, Controls development, Narratives) to achieve 100% compliance performance. Planning, implementation, oversight and testing of ERCP and compliance initiatives. Creation/adoption of Controls development within CS. Implementation of CSQA initiatives through planning, data collection and analysis. Interaction and engagement with program managers and key partner groups, ensuring that all audits, projects, ad hoc assignments, and deadlines are met. Responsible for gathering data and ensuring monthly/quarterly reports are complete, comprehensive, and accurate, providing Senior Management with sufficient data to be useful and protect the company from unnecessary risk. By utilizing technical and systems skills and leveraging enterprise-wide software (Power BI, Excel, SharePoint and others) this position will develop and maintain department and organizational dashboards, KPIs, and SLAs to produce quality decision-making and executive-level presentation materials. Implementation and oversight of ERCP throughout CS. Ensure all Compliance Leads, Report Owners, Control Owners and other partners to understand the ERCP catalog of requirements to ensure compliance and risk-mitigation identification.

  Qualifications

   The essentials

  Seven or more years of experience with regulatory policy, quality assurance/quality control or compliance, risk management, controls development/testing and familiarity with internal/external audit process. Two or more years' project management experience utilizing techniques to establish schedule, scope, and quality for high-profile, multi-disciplinary projects. Broad knowledge of the operations of one or more of the following organizations: Energy Procurement, Energy Efficiency, Customer Service, Regulatory Operations, or Finance.

  Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field. Project management certification. Strong interpersonal skills with proven record of effective collaboration. Strong ethics and the ability to multi-task, handle competing priorities, positively influence others, and navigate ambiguous challenges. Effective decision-making, results delivery, team and consensus building, continuous learning and improvement, and keeping current with industry trends and technology as it relates to QA and Internal Controls. Strong analytical, problem solving, building relationships, strategic thinking and decision-making skills and the ability to analyze regulatory and business problems and create innovative solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop effective presentations, data request responses, and effectively communicate complex, sensitive, strategic, and sometimes unfavorable information in a concise and straightforward manner. Ability to rapidly learn, assimilate complex, and technical information in unfamiliar situations and be able to effectively communicate it in a non-technical manner to all business partners and leadership.

  This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
