The Quality Analyst will be responsible for supporting projects and activities related to quality assurance, quality improvement, quality training, and other responsibilities of the histology department. The Quality Analyst allows the laboratory to provide quality results to our providers and patients, which increases customer satisfaction and solidifies loyalty for our company.
This position is also responsible for project management activities as they relate to identified areas within the laboratory requiring standardization to improve the quality and/or efficiency of operations. Ensure complete and accurate readiness for all inspections and maintain all necessary documents. Participate in regulatory and accrediting agency inspections when needed Perform first level review of proficiency testing results. Draft responses to regulatory complaints and inspection. Monitor the progress of implementation and subsequent use of the document management system. Analyze data, track/trend issues to identify gaps in processes, training, and help create solutions through the process improvement process. This role will be responsible for training newly on-boarded sales and customer care team members.
The work schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday (7:00am - 3:30pm)

Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science and/or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirementsMinimum 2 years as a Histotechnologist/Histotechnologist Histology and/or ASCP certifications are a plusPrevious experience in quality related is highly preferred General knowledge of laboratory regulations (CAP/CLIA/ISO) and licensing requirementsStrong understanding of audit related requirements and proceduresWorking knowledge of quality assurance/quality management best practicesExcellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skillsStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
