Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
Responsibilities
Perform qualification and validation tests on connector systems according to the current test specifications of the automotive industryPreparation of test setups, testing and recording and control of measurement and test data in his area of responsibility and competency.Should network with internal (India / affiliates) and external customers to understand test requirementsEnsure compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules, 5S+1 and Quality management regarding IATF 16949, ISO 17025Knowledge sharing based on team's operational requirements and strategies.Responsible for test data post processing and technical review of verification & validation to ensure robustness of design.Work cross-functionally with global engineering teams, program managers and support teams to ensure on-time execution with on-target quality and cost of programs
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics)Overall, 1 to 3 years of experience in the areas of Automotive LV Connector testing. Experience in the areas of Automotive LV / HV Connector testing. Thorough knowledge of Mechanical engineering basics, Experience in handling of UTM and experience with its application in product validation.Experience in handling of Vibration shaker, Hi-pot testers, Micro ohmmeter, Data Loggers, Power supply, Thermal shock Chambers, Climatic Chambers, Ovens, Measurement using Microscope etc. are added advantage.Knowledge on ISO 17025 process is an added advantage.Knowledge of Product Validation Process in Automotive Industries.Knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISO, DIN, EIA, SAE), Customer standards(LV 214, USCAR2) related to product validation and quality management.
