Job Description
In this position, the QA tester will conduct testing of financial ATMs in preparation for release of software to customers. This job involves both hardware and software testing. The tester will need a solid understanding of software testing methodology and the software development life cycle. The tester will analyze business requirements and specifications, design and execute tests, record and report results, and generate defect records. The primary objective for this candidate will be to drive the testing process through development and execution of test scenarios, as well as regression testing and problem reporting. This position would also support the development team through diagnosis of issues and problem recreation. Issue tracking and communication are expected, as well as reporting the status of test coverage for assigned software products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Designing test plans and procedures to verify requirements
Creating and executing Test Cases in Practitest
Executing test procedures against the code baseline
Preparing test reports detailing results of testing
Work closely with users to verify requirements and software acceptance
Re-imaging ATMs, installing software, connecting to network hosts, configuring ATMs and possibly changing out hardware to match production environments
Skills and Requirements
-Bachelor's Degree in a computer science discipline
-3-5 year experience in software testing and quality assurance
-3+ years designing and implementing test plans, scripts, and writing test reports
Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology
Excellent oral and written communication skills -ATM/Banking knowledge/Bank Teller knowledge
-Previous experience with NDC, or Wincor, Diebold applications a plus
-Core/Processor knowledge
-Practitest experience null
