Insight Global is looking for a strong backend Python Developer to join one of our largest financial clients. This team is a global team with members in New York, Montreal, Bengaluru and Mumbai and clients in North America. They are responsible for delivering the technology products used to size and manage the firm's liquidity, unsecured funding and capital resources. This includes things like intraday liquidity and cash management; calculation, forecasting and stress testing of liquidity and capital measures; resolution planning; budgeting and delivering firmwide management reporting and analytics.
This individual will be joining a team of developers responsible for the development of a new application using Python and Java. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire SDLC and be expected to own changes all the way from inception to deployment in production. On a day-to-day basis, responsibilities include gathering requirements from their partnering product owners in finance, refining features, testing acceptance criteria, entering and editing code, develop using REST APIs, conducting quality assurance over application testing and proper monitoring of the migration from one step to another. The candidate will need to work effectively with remotely dispersed teams as the role will require constant communication across various regional teams.
Skills and Requirements
Must-haves
* 3-7 years of experience in developing applications using Python Programming Language
* Knowledge of RDBMS database like DB2, Sybase etc.
* Working knowledge of bitbucket, git, Jenkins.
* Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
* Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies with a track record of high-quality deliverables
* Excellent communication skills- working directly with the business and global teams
* Experience in Agile/Scrum Management and Agile Tools Plusses:
* Experience in using Typescript, JavaScript and Angular
* Financial Services Industry Experience null
