In this position...
PVT engineers are part of the Connected Vehicle Services & Model e Quality organization and are co-located in the Vehicle Assembly Plant with the vehicle production team. The PVT Engineers are the 'first line of defense' regarding Functional system quality for the products produced at the assembly plant.
What you'll do...
Connected Vehicle Services PVT Engineer for U725 (Bronco)/P375 (Ranger) programs.
Lead ongoing improvements to the quality of the Bronco/Ranger programs at Michigan Assembly Plant for Driver Assist Technologies, Control Modules, Instrumentation Function
Manage BSAQ projects for Design, Supplier Quality, and Process issues
Support VESC VRT meetings and subsequent report outs. Lead FTT issue resolution at MAP
Coordinate/Support engineering change trials. Support fresh eyes reviews for pre-builds.
Support Launch on Major and Minor programs.
Approve Alerts and Concerns in WERS. Sign off SREA’s as needed
Utilize external and internal quality data to develop ICA/PCA actions for in-plant quality concerns and external warranty claims.
Drive release and implementation of containment actions with assembly plant, suppliers, and D&R engineers.
Develop plans to meet quality objectives.
Trial and implement TVM cost save ideas.
You'll have...
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or closely related field of study
2+ years of experience as product/quality engineer, preferably in electrical/Software
1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Even better, you may have...
Master of Science degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or closely related field of study
5+ years of experience as product/quality engineer, preferably in electrical/Software
2+ years of experience working in GSAR/JIRA/BSAQ/QED/SREA and WERS or willingness to learn.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work well with people, specifically in assembly plant environment.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office application
