  About the role:

  The Growth Marketing team is looking for a senior individual contributor to lead Public Sector marketing efforts. This is a fast-growing segment with huge market potential and you will have an opportunity to make a lasting impact at Samsara. 

  In this role, you will drive marketing program strategy to achieve pipeline and bookings goals in key industries. You will be responsible for the overarching go-to-market motion, including campaigns and demand generation, field marketing, and marketing operations, ensuring investments align with company priorities and partnering closely with functional teams to execute on the initiatives.

  In this role, you will:  Own quarterly and annual Public Sector pipeline generation goals, leveraging marketing channels to achieve targets Provide thought leadership on marketing to the Public Sector, defining strategy and driving innovation on go-to-market motion Drive pipeline and revenue growth by identifying new channels or tactics to scale and optimizing the sales funnel to unlock incremental revenue Own the marketing program budget for Public Sector, prioritizing and allocating resources for greatest impact Forecast and measure the impact of demand generation activities on sales pipeline and revenue; continuously evaluate the performance and ROI of programs, adjusting tactics and strategy accordingly Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in marketing, sales, business operations, product, and account development to build a best-in-class go-to-market motion Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices Minimum requirements for the role:

  8+ years of experience in growth, management consulting, finance, analytics, marketing, or a related area  4+ years of experience working in or with the Public Sector, especially state or local governments Experience marketing in an enterprise technology sales cycle; familiar with inside and field sales, sales development programs, data sourcing, and outbound marketing campaigns Excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to succinctly communicate cross-functionally and with executives Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive business impact Proven ability to lead by influence to drive cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes Salesforce proficiency BS/BA in a quantitative field or equivalent experience required Located in the US An ideal candidate also has:

  Deep familiarity with effective marketing strategies and buying motions across a wide range of government or educational institutions SQL proficiency  

  Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.  For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually. 

  We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

  The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  $118,160—$211,000 USD

  At Samsara, we have adopted a flexible way of working, enabling teams and individuals to do their best work, regardless of where they’re based. We value in-person collaboration and know a change of scenery and quiet space to work is welcomed from time to time, but also appreciate that the world of work has changed. Our offices remain open for those who prefer to collaborate or work in-office, but we also encourage fully remote applicants. As most roles are not required to be in the office, we are able to hire remotely where Samsara has an established presence. If a role is required to be in a certain location and candidates do not have work authorization for that location, Samsara will conduct an immigration assessment.
