About This Role:
Kansas State University\'s Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina isseeking a dedicated Public Safety Officer to monitor and patrol thecampus in order to ensure the safety and well-being of people,buildings, and property. This position responds to emergency calls orrequests for assistance, notifying the proper authorities as needed inorder to resolve situations.
This position will work the 4:00pm-12:00am shift, Monday through Friday,and will be eligible for a \$.40 per hour shift differential.
*This is a limited-term, University Support Staff position*

Requires a high school diploma.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in security or related fieldKnowledge of rules & regulations pertaining to the use of KSU SalinabuildingsAble to detect suspicious conditionsGood oral communication skills: must be able to write a report in aclear and concise mannerThorough knowledge of standard methods & Practices used insafeguarding buildings and premises including fire prevention andhealth and safety practicesAbility to compile comprehensive reports of activities pertaining tosafety and securityComputer skillsOther Requirements:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United Statesat the time of employment.Valid driver\'s license upon employment and must be maintained.Must undergo a background investigation to include a fingerprintsearch of local, state, and federal files to determine whether acriminal record exists; Must not have been convicted of any state orfederal crime or its equivalent; Must be of good moral character.Once employed, CPR and First Aid training will be required and mustbe maintained. Must have the ability to use fire extinguishers andother safety and security equipment as needed.Work requires moderate physical exertion in transporting items up to50 pounds, on occasion, i.e.: fire extinguishers, ice melt;Ability to work varied hours, walk long distances, and remain onfeet for an extended period of time.How to Apply:
