What We'll Bring:
As a Proposal Manager, you will oversee the execution of all proposal activities for specific assigned proposals. These proposals cover a wide range of levels of complexity, verticals and solutions, and you will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality and fully compliant proposals. This includes support for full-scale project management of a variety of RFP response types, including commercial and state, local and federal government, with the direct goal of helping TransUnion achieve and exceed its annual revenue and booking goals.
The Senior Proposal Manager applies best practice processes for disciplined and efficient proposal activities, communicating continuously with the Head of Bids and Proposals Group and the proposal team, to ensure professional RFP-compliant proposal documents are developed and delivered on time.
The Senior Proposal Manager also works independently and determines items that are behind schedule; identifies barriers to progress; and plans and implements effective and efficient problem-solving and corrective action plans, while understanding when to escalate.
Under general supervision of the Senior Manager of Bids and Proposals.
Job Description:
Must have strong inter-personal, project management, and team leader skills for developing and maintaining productive proposal teams (to include subcontractors and teaming partners) across multiple support functions, intra-organization cooperation and resources; ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external relationships; ability to inspire trust and high-performance from Sales and Account Management teams.
Ability to work under pressure and in stressful situations (deadline driven environment)
Must have experience in following standardized proposal development processes and procedures and adapting them to specific pursuit delivery needs.
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in proposal management andor related Sales OperationsSupport experience.
Bachelor s degree in English, Business, Marketing, Engineering or similar disciplines or possess equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Must have the ability to use MS Office Suite software (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) as well as possess basic knowledge of publishing (knowledge of MS Word and Styles) and document management including Adobe Acrobat Pro.
We d Love to See:
Understanding of project planning and execution, and broader project management experience and skills highly desired.
Proposal writing, and editorial experience preferred
Additional industry training (such as that offered by Shipley Associates) in business developmentcapture management proposal managementproposal production preferred.
Working knowledge of SharePointOneDrive, Teams, Salesforce.com, preferred Experience with RFPIO also preferred.
What You'll Bring:
In the first 90 days - Training on comprehensive RFP response process, processes for requesting subject matter experts (SME) support, utilizing the available tools, and training around corporate response content that the Senior Proposal Manager is response for providing. Training on company product and solution families will be provided, and you will be introduced to key contacts that the team regularly works with to support our deliverables to both current clients and sales prospects. Will shadow other teammatesprojects to view and understand the project management process and role expectations. Beyond 90 days - Will start to manage and support smaller projects independently and get support from senior team membersmanager as required for new andor unusual requirements. Will continue to grow and build out further internal support relationships with SMEs. This work will directly support Sales and Account Management teams, utilizing your thorough and professional project management skills, SME support network, and internal tools, while partnering with them to support their sales efforts while leading to sales opportunity wins.
