Work you'll do
As an editor, you'll use your skills and experience to:
Support priority bid opportunities for Deloitte Consulting's business pursuits
Review and edit proposals and pursuit materials prepared for current and potential clients
Bring one-voice consistency to documents pieced together by multiple authors while preserving the business pursuit strategy and messaging
Rewrite consultant-speak and business jargon into clear, consistent, grammatically correct content
Edit with a high degree of accuracy on short deadlines, at times at night and on weekends
Communicate suggested edits and other changes to pursuit managers and graphic designers, confirming changes are implemented consistently
Communicate with pursuit colleagues about project and task status
Maintain and apply a thorough knowledge of Deloitte's brand standards and legal requirements for communications
Grow into editing and writing case studies, biographies, presentations, microsites, and video scripts tailored to a specific client and/or opportunity
Research content to write proposal sections and grow into interviewing stakeholders to draft content and compelling stories
Comprehend business strategies and issues affecting professional services
Collaborate with teams in various global geographies in a virtual work environment
Understand The Chicago Manual of Style's guidelines and help maintain Deloitte's Style Guide in all deliverables

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Agility and speed in executing writing
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, challenging, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications
Required:
Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, liberal arts, or a related discipline
2+ years of relevant experience (such as writing proposals or grants)
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $69,400.00 - $127,900.00. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
