About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Property Tax Manager in Indirect Property Tax as part of Commercial Banking Operations .
The Property Tax Manager is responsible for managing a team of property tax professionals and ensuring accurate administration review of property tax returns, timely process property tax assessments and payment of tax bills.
Other responsibilities may include:
Develop and implement systems to accurately compile and report information for leasing related personal property taxes.
Provide guidance to subordinates regarding established tax policies.
Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect affiliate organization(s).
-Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and/or consultation on assigned personal property tax issues. Scope of role requires the ability to independently evaluate issues and apply sound business judgment.
-Interact with functional peer group managers and/or other groups across the enterprise.
Manage tax professionals and provides functional advice, direction and/or training.
Establishes operational objectives and assignments, delegates assignments to subordinates and supervises the work of subordinates.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for managing professionals engaged in operational accounting activities and transactions
Provide operational accounting support for internal business groups or operations departments
Manage completion of operational accounting tasks including creating and clearing entries to accounts, balancing, reconciliation, researching and resolving discrepancies and maintaining operational accounting systems and records
Review consolidated balance sheets, statements of income, account reconciliations and certifications
Enforce adherence to internal and external operational accounting standards and policies
Oversee production of income and balance sheet statements and operational or financial and regulatory reports
Answer inquires and resolve operational accounting and escalated issues identified by staff and other departments
Identify and report problems to management as appropriate
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Indirectly or directly interact with customers, clients or vendors
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Finance and Accounting
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Operational Accounting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
1+ years of Leadership experience

Knowledge of property tax laws and their impact on the overall business and operations
Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Ability to motivate others to greater performance
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Intermediate Microsoft Access and Excel skills
Advanced Knowledge of Property Tax Management System (PTMS)
Familiarity with InfoLease
General experience with Tax Research software (CCH, IRA)
Ability to partner with all professionals within the company and occasionally communicate with the customers.
Strong knowledge of all aspects of property tax, including: Annual property tax compliance, Ability to review, process and appeal property tax assessments, Ability to review and process property tax bills, Ability to review customer generated refund requests, secure the refunds and process credits when appropriate and the Ability to assist with jurisdictional audits
