Position Summary
The Project Support Specialist on the Anesthesia & Emergency Medicine Research & Development team provides support to the Anesthesia R&D team to plan, prepare and execute technical documentation and project activities. This specialist’s primary job function is to make change order revisions to mechanical drawings using SolidWorks and Agile software. They are also responsible for the creation of documentation in the PLM and ERP systems in compliance with design controls. Assist in the planning and execution of projects under the direction of the project or technical lead.
Principal Responsibilities
• Local administration of SolidWorks PDM vault by having ownership for the vault workflow and file storage
• Collaborate with R&D department to develop 3D models and 2D drawings for jigs, fixtures, gages and auxiliary equipment leveraging design experience and department design standards and best practices
• Access and collect the information directly from various Teleflex systems such as Agile PLM, SAP and other database systems
• Creating Purchase Requisitions in SAP and act as subject matter expert for supplier evaluation process
• Coordinate/lead preparation and modification, submission, and workflow approval of documentation package(s)
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics and all company policies and procedures
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with processing 3D printing projects for the department
• Provide various project-level support for the R&D department projects, such as Change Management support, project documentation, technical reviews, meeting minutes and data analysis
• Assist the project lead with preparation, analysis and formatting/presentation of data required for cross-functional review. Data sets include but not limited to product bills of material, vendor information, cost information, technical data, quality data, sales volumes, etc.
• As required, travel to on-site technical product reviews, process improvement or product idea brainstorming events. Coordinate/lead meeting sessions or group exercises. Support the planning and coordination of meeting logistics, both prior to the event and on-site as required
Education / Experience Requirements
• Associates or technical degree required in Engineering Drafting, Design CAD/CAM, or related engineering field
• 3+ years of experience using Solid Works & PDM
• 2+ years of experience managing ECO/CO changes to Mechanical Drawings using CAD software
• Working knowledge of Agile PLM software or equivalent
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP system or equivalent
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Minor project management or technical project experience preferred
• Experience within a healthcare products, medical device or pharmaceutical company preferred
• Advanced profieciency in MS Office Tools
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Clear verbal and written communication, ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of audiences
