Role Summary
Splunk is looking for interns for Summer 2024! As a Project Operations - PMO Systems & Processes intern , you will work on a real project (or a few!) and have an opportunity to enjoy our dynamic, startup-like environment.

You will be responsible for defining and developing PMO systems, processes and tools to support the management and reporting of programs in the Enterprise Applications & Transformation Office (EATO) portfolio. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) and Operating Model.

What you'll get to do
Work with internal business representatives, program managers, technical delivery teams, and change management to understand requirements, timelines, and desired outcomes.
Review and assess existing internal capabilities against available functionalities within our platforms and determine the best approach to support user requirements.
Support development of internal technologies and/or the implementation and configuration of enhancements/upgrades to scale existing systems.
Provide support to internal program delivery teams.
Facilitate the launch, adoption and in-life support of PMO processes, tools and technology, including through development of tool and process specific training.
Provide strategic advice to delivery teams to ensure the right tool is deployed at the right time in the right way.
Facilitate non-technical business improvements such as business process improvement, process simplification and business operating rhythm & engagement models.
Support portfolio management and analysis by building mechanisms to help drive execution rigor and compliance.
Develop & enable executive level status reports and dashboards.
Must-have Qualifications
Currently pursing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, or similar areas.
At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship
Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks

Working knowledge of databases and Project Portfolio Management systems (PPM); Familiarity with Tableau and Smartsheet
Strong presentation skills, verbal and written communication
Self-motivation and strong passion for teamwork
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Strong project execution skills, attention to quality, and solution minded
Experience with and/or desire to hold a technical project management role
Ability to lead and influence via persuasion, grit, and energy to drive consensus across functions and teams
Willing to learn while doing

Base Pay is based on a candidate completing 3 years of university or the academic equivalent
Base Pay
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay: $34 per hour
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay: $32 per hour
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay: $30 per hour
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills, year in school and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits.
